Our monthly tradition — post what's still coming out of your beds this month. Doesn't have to be impressive. Some years October is a victory lap, some years it's three sad peppers and a lot of excuses about the weather. Both are welcome here. Photos encouraged but not required.

I'll go first: pulled the last of the slicing tomatoes before our first light frost warning, plus a full bed of carrots I'd honestly forgotten I planted in July until I went looking for something to harvest and found a whole row of them sized up and ready. Net total for the month: 11 lbs tomatoes, a grocery bag of carrots, and one extremely confused volunteer squash plant that's decided October is its moment, three months after everything else in that bed finished for the season.
